This past trip we stayed at the Port Orleans French Quarter, Disney's smallest moderate level resort. As soon as you walk up to the resort you are immediately immersed in beautiful Mardi Gras theming which continues throughout the property!
The rooms were spacious, well appointed and clean with two queen beds. The bathroom had a tub shower combo with a generous shelf to place your toiletries (or bath toys) on. There is also an ample amount of Disney shampoo, conditioner, and body wash mounted in the shower, no more tiny bottles! We were lucky enough to be in building 3, which is the closest building to the main entrance and made getting to the bus stop a breeze!
As with all of the Disney resorts, there were loads of fun things to do; including a pool (with a sea serpent water slide!), hot tub, splash park (with little kid water slides), park, a small shop and the arcade. One other important mention in the things to do column: taking the boat to Disney Springs. It's a great way to see some wildlife on your way to restaurants, shopping and entertainment!
There is also an excellent quick serve restaurant on site called Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. The portions are large, so my daughter and I were able to comfortably share one meal together, an easy way to save quick serve credits on your dining plan! I would definitely recommend the Wolferman's English Muffin Breakfast Sandwich and the Mickey Head Beignets are positively divine: pro tip.... the 3 piece Mickey Beignets count as a snack credit! Also, be prepared to be covered in powdered sugar!
In short, this was a great resort and we would certainly enjoy staying here again.
