Special Experiences: Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Writer: Melissa GermainMelissa Germain

Every experience at Disney is special but there are a few that are REALLY special. One of which it the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. If you have a little princess or prince, this is a great experience and one that they will never forget. Miss H and Master S got to go in Disneyland when she was 4 and he was 6. She still talks about it at least once a month!

When we arrived at the boutique, Miss H chose her princess gown and accessory package (she picked Rapunzel) and was whisked away by her Fairy Godmother in Training to have her hair, makeup, and nails done. They were able to work some serious magic with my little princesses lack of hair and she still got the fairytale updo with a lovely tiara…. she just also got a sparkly Mickey hairclip to help hold it in place!

When she was all done they took her to have her picture taken near Cinderella’s carriage. After all of this was done (the process took at least an hour), the BEST part, in my opinion, of the whole experience happens… Miss F and Master S were taken directly to the princesses at Fairy Tale Hall and introduced to Cinderella! My kiddos got to meet Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, and Rapunzel with no wait, and that experience alone made it worth the money. I forgot to mention that Miss H received a goody bag with all of her makeup and nail polish in it to take home.

I know I’ve talked about how wonderful this is for your little princess but it’s a great experience for your little prince as well. Master S, chose to do the Knight’s package which included a cool hairdo, and he was knighted: receiving a personalized sword and shield. When we went over to meet the princesses, they especially fawned over him!

We haven’t had the opportunity to experience this at Disney World yet, but I’m sure we will… What I can tell you is that there are two locations at Disney World for your prince or princess to experience the magic. The original Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is inside Cinderella’s Castle and the other in Disney Springs at the Once Upon a Toy Shop. There are several packages for you to choose from, ranging from $64.95 to $450. If you choose to go in Magic Kingdom, it is more difficult to get a reservation and it can be a little more crowded (the space is smaller inside of the castle) but your kiddo’s get their picture taken in all of their regalia in front of Cinderella’s castle. The Disney Springs location is easier to get into and more spacious for everyone waiting for the royal treatment. This location also has a magic mirror in the changing room, which has the Fairy Godmother greet your little princess.
